It's been awhile since I last wrote you a note and I've missed you! My first semester of undergraduate study drew more of my creative energy than I had anticipated but I'm excited to be learning in a formal environment again. I look forward to sharing some of what I learned soon, but not today. Today, I'm sharing a pranayama practice I recorded right before Summer Solstice last week. It's a breath practice designed to bring a sense of harmony to your inner world - something I suspect many of us could use more of at the moment. One thing that came through during the practice was the reminder that when we consciously invest in holding an inner posture of kindness and gentleness and Love, we invariably will be a kinder, gentler and more loving presence in the outer world as well. This is especially important to remember when you don't feel like you have the capacity to show up to the big challenges we are collectively and individually facing at the moment in what feels like a big enough way - there are a lot of voices telling us what we should be doing but the most important guidance to listen to comes form within. We all must move at the speed of our nervous system's capacity to hold whatever it is we are experiencing - which, let's face it, is A LOT right now. So, please gentle with yourself and one another as we navigate these uncharted waters.
